What makes Ceramic Coating SO GOOD?

The engineering aspect inside the chemical itself is designed to chemically bond to your vehicle’s paint, attaching and creating another additional layer of nanotech Clear Coat or (Paint Protection). This in return repelling any dirt or other grimes, adding protection from minor scratches, protection from environmental factors and many more benefits and lasting effects that protect your vehicle in the long run.

The Engineering and Science behind a MASTERPIECE nanoparticles in Ceramic Coating.

Smart surface science combines the latest in fields such as nanochemistry and supramolecular chemistry to create a masterpiece liquid polymer sealant that chemically bonds to paint. With the two main substances being SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide) and TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) working as one, forming a net-like structure when applied to create a shield-like barrier on the surface. In which SiO2 nanoparticles work and present hydrophobic properties, UV protection and durability, while TiO2 is known for enabling self-cleaning properties, being highly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) rays, extreme temperatures, chemicals, pollutant decomposition as well as enhanced gloss.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS) About Ceramic Coating (Paint Protection)

High-quality Ceramic Coatings can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years depending on some brands, while there are higher premium class Ceramic coatings that can last till 7 to 10 years, but only exclusively fully trained Accredited Detailers like ourselves. Also, this is all dependable on weather conditions and maintenance upkeep so that your ceramic coating can last ranges provided. NOTE: For higher class ceramic coatings need at the most a controlled environment, the right equipment and tools as these are the crucial steps in getting it done correctly, as not done right will lead in striping your paint and wet sanding, and that can be an expensive cost on top of the rest.

Absolutely, knowing that your vehicle has that extra protection is beneficial in many ways from maintenance factor to a tougher environment and living conditions. All this is a worthwhile investment because your paint is protected in the process and, in the long run, PLUS in the present or future, can always increase the value of your vehicle by a couple of thousands. Think of this as car insurance that actually works and does the job right!

Most definitely, no matter the fact that it’s an older vehicle from the 1950s to a new modern electric vehicle. Ceramic coating is made for two things: Protect and Enhance. Knowing that you have it makes it even the while BETTER!

With the preparation to the application process, there are numerous stages to build up when applying Ceramic Coating and that can typically last from a full day to 2-day turnaround. Keep in mind this process is equally important in ensuring that we get it right that you walk away with the finished product being an absolute success.

The curing stages are one of the most important factors to take into account, so that your Ceramic Coating can fully bond to your paint and harden over time. The Initial Curing is from 12 to 24 hours. Within this time your Ceramic Coating will harden and adjust to the surface. Meaning it will be good to drive your vehicle after this period. NOTE: Vehicle Must Be Stored Undercover For Long Periods Of Time While Being Parked. The Full Curing phase takes about a week in time, meaning within this time your vehicle MUST NOT get wet and should be parked undercover for long periods at a time. During which your Ceramic Coating will finally be set in the paint, achieving full protective capabilities, including water and contaminant resistance. NOTE: other environmental factors can play apart in not achieving full 100%, such as high temperatures, humidity and other environmental conditions.

NO, again this must wait until a week (7 days) so that the Ceramic Coating can adjust and fully bond. After that, it’s good to go and can be washed or pressured washed however you like. Enjoy the features and benefits of the ceramic coating. Not only should it be easier to clean where the dirt and grime comes off more easily but also saving time and money in the process.

If you think waxes are good, then think of Ceramic Coating BUT on steroids. The biggest difference being that Ceramic Coating offers higher durability and long-lasting paint protection, also creating chemical bond with the paint making it hydrophobic, resilient to UV rays, protection against small minor scratches like ‘swirl marks’, chemical spills or stains and an enhanced gloss that lasts for a long time. Wax can merely do half of that, which can only last from a couple of months until it needs to be re-applied. It might be cheaper option, but that adds up over time in which is better to get a ceramic coating in the long run.

NO, please do not use any of these as it’s not recommended. Waxes don’t need to be applied once a ceramic coating is on your vehicle as the ceramic coating itself has these functions to what waxes offer and can be counterproductive. Traditional waxes collect debris overtime and can interfere with the hydrophobic properties of the ceramic coating. And Polishes can be much worse if applied on a ceramic coating because of their abrasive chemicals inside of it that’s meant to strip away paint, meaning it will remove some parts of the ceramic coating and damage the gloss enhancement in the process.

Not as frequent but still needs to be kept up to date with a general clean but less time managing thanks to the ceramic coating. If DIY (Do it yourself), we suggest the following… Two-bucket method one with soapy water and the other with clean water ensuring no dirt or other debris contaminating the wash solution, minimizing the risk of scratching or spreading grime. Proper fresh microfibre mitts, microfibre cloths and microfibre towels are always a must as not only a soft gentle touch but also are able to lift dirt and grime, ensuring a scratch-free and streak-free finish. Washing technique plus drying technique are always important for the overall appearance, preventing damage, and ensuring a flawless finish. Plus, it’s always best to dry off any water (especially tap water) as it can lead to water markings if done as soon as possible. Avoid intense sunlight during really hot days as this will affect your finished appearance. With water and other chemical solutions, drying up quicker in direct heat causing water markings and cleaning streaks, especially more noticeable on windows if not careful. The best chemicals to use when having ceramic coating on your vehicle are pH-Neutral Shampoos. For more specific contaminants like bird dropping or brake dust, use Gtechniq W6 which is a good option and doesn’t affect nor damage the ceramic coating. Another great chemical to use after a post clean is GTECHNIQ C2V3 Liquid Crystal Ceramic Sealant V3 which not only aids the ceramic coating but also increases gloss and protection.

Ceramic Coating is a job that has to be 100% perfect with no errors or mistakes. This allows us with a piece of mind to deliver the quality that is expected. Ahead of your booking we must BE provided with photo evidence of your vehicle's health, allowing us to assess what we are working with. NOTE: We will ask for a deposit amount so that we can order and buy the products before your appointment. We will also need the following information before booking, such as Garage or Carport. This MUST be provided IF we are going to continue with any Ceramic Coating service. The reason why we ask this is that it’s very important that no environmental factors affect the process as this can ruin the curing process of the Ceramic Coating. We also understand that not everyone is lucky to have a garage or carport. We can only be honest with you, and we recommend that you find some other professionals that are local with a shop that can provide you with the needed service you’re looking for.
